ArvinMeritor has a centralized procurement organization, with European headquarters located in Hoofddorp. From this procurement office, European or global procurement strategies are developed and deployed and procurement activities are headed for about 30 European manufacturing plants. For this office we are looking for a Program Manager DMO Overview The Program Manager is responsible for a collection of related projects, including the planning, coordinating, evaluating and executing of activities involved with the entire operations of DMO (Direct Material Optimization), including development, testing, product quality, production, product and project cost, scheduling and performance, and launch. Coordinates teams within Performance Plus and with the internal departments. Presents status on programs and recommendations to break barriers. Main Focus: Product costing management/modeling, cost analysis, optimum cost evaluation Principle Accountabilities - Develops, maintains and analyzes project schedules and project plans to support project goals. - Ensures proper coordination, prioritization, and communication of project objectives for multiple projects. - Negotiates with business unit leaders for project resources. - Leads multifunctional project teams to achieve project objectives. - Manages day-to-day aspects of projects. - Manages budget responsibility. - Collects, reviews and stores project documents including meeting minutes, project deliverables, etc. via C2C. - Collects project team data and composes summary reports. - Compiles and tracks risk management plan to minimize exposure to risk. - Manages projects across all phases and integrates activities throughout matrix organization. - Communicates project objectives, performance and lessons learned to business unit leaders. - Development of strategic initiates toward continuous performance improvement, customer satisfaction and profit improvement - Develops customer interface and relationship and works with customers to ensure project meets customer requirements. Education/Experience - Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field - Advance degree in Business is preferred - 3-5 plus years of directly related experience or equivalent work related experience - Manufacturing experience - Project Management Professional (PMP) certified preferred - MBA preferred - Progressive responsibilities and successes in medium to large projects thru their lifecycle - Management experience in a cross functional team environment - Concept to Customer (C2C) or Automotive Product and Quality Process (APQP) stage gate - Solid understanding of Commercial Vehicles - Strategic Planning skills - Communication and Interpersonal skills Salary and benefits: Salary is dependant upon experience and skills.
